Guitar Player and Teacher

    Matheus Motta was Born and lived his childhood in São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo. The passion for music guided him to study deeply and at the age of 22 years he graduated at São Paulo State University (UNESP). He studied acoustic guitar with Giácomo Bartoloni, Ulisses Rocha and Camilo Carrara.

    He was cofounder of “Choro Moço”, a band of choro music who recorded an album in 2012 called “Chico no Choro”. With this group he released two European Tours in 2012 and 2013 besides playing in SESC´s, cultural places and pub´s until today.

He integrates the “Trovadores Urbanos”, a famous group of seresta music in São Paulo. He also has been acting as freelancer in shows and recordings, playing 6 and 7 strings guitar, cavaquinho and electric guitar. He also develops a solid work as a soloist.  

    Besides been a musician he also act as a teacher. He has worked in many formal and informal institutions and nowadays teaches music for private students. His didactic is focused in Brazilian popular music and musical theory for all level students.
